THE FLOATING PARLIAMENT

By: Uncle Sam

A Greek ferry has been hired as a last minute accommodation for Libya's elected government, which has fled the country's civil war into a Greek ferry, the Elyros after worsening security conditions in the country made it impossible for them to meet in the emergency building they had established.

The Elyros.

The Libya Members of Parliament had prepared for three days to board the Greek ferry, which now serves as a floating hotel for the Parliamentary members, equipped with internet access and other resources requested by the deputies to enable to run the country from the ferry. This sounds like Air Force One already.
The Floating Parliament.
Libya's interim government was formed in May. Libya has been in turmoil since an uprising ousted former prime minister Muammar Gaddafi in 2011. Bernardino Leon, the United Nations special representative to Libya, have stated that the Libyan parliament is considered the "legitimate representative of the Libyan people".

The 17,000-ton Elyros liner has been deployed, complete with its Greek crew, as a floating hotel for a legislature clinging to power in the Libyan city that is last stop before the Egyptian border.

For the sake of all the Libyan people, I really hope the Libyan Parliament prioritize on stopping the war and violence and not on anything else.
